While mainstream media are in a frenzy over Barack Obama's pastor, the candidate chose to speak forcefully about the one issue that may be paramount in the mind of voters: inflation, particularly at the gas pump. Obama especially needs to focus again on the issues, because Rev. Wright's ramblings took a toll on his standing: for the first time in months, polls give Hillary Clinton a statistically insignificant but politically important advantage over him among Democratic voters.
